Hip Hop Music

Hip Hop Music consists of a style called Rap.

This music being part of the Hip Hop culture came from New York City - the Bronx.

To Rap - is to speak in rhythm and rhyme to the beat of a particular song.

This music came about in the 1970's.

Jamaicans were a big influence on the style of rapping.

The first female Hip Hop artist as far as I am aware to record music was - Lady B.

This music prior to the 1980's was really not known about outside of the United States.

However it spread quickly to dozens of countries.

Hip Hop over the years has remained popular - with artists performing it such as -

Black Eyed Peas

Fabolous
