He was born in Russia in 1938 - he died in 1993.

He had many dance partners but he formed a long standing dance partnership with Margot Fonteyn.

In 1962 he made his first appearance in London with the Royal Ballet.



Mikhail Nikolaevich Baryshnikov -

one of the greatest performers of this style of the 20th century.

Born in 1948 - he was a member of the 'New York City Ballet'



Vatslav Nijinsky - born in 1989 - died on 8th April, 1950.

Some of his lead parts were in - Fokin's productions of Pavilion of Armida, Egypt Nights, and Chopeniana.


Roberto Bolle -

An Italian Ballet Dancer who began dancing at the tender age of seven, he has performed with most of the famous schools around.


Paul Liburd -

Born in Leeds - has received the Dance Critics’ Circle award for Best Male Dancer (Contemporary), also in 2009 awarded the MBE for services to dance in the Queen's birthday honours and the Dance Critics' Circle Award for Best Male Dancer.
