His first appearance on stage was in 1961 at the Palais Garnier.

On 21st February, 1962 - it was his first performance of Giselle with Margot Fonteyn and the Royal Ballet which was at Covent Garden.


In 1983 he became the Dance Director for the Paris Opera Ballet and he stayed with the company until 1989.

He had a perfect partnership dancing with Margot Fonteyn.

He had many grand performances all over the world. Until on 6th January,1993 he died. He was 54.
